ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

BHMC supports economic, and social needs of companies and residents through planning for land use, environmental management, workforce development, neighborhood improvement, and community development. We help businesses grow and succeed by encouraging business development and expansion and by helping businesses develop the necessary prerequisites to support their initiatives such as: strategic plans, feasibility studies, business plans and marketing studies. BHMC also assists small businessmen with filing for incorporation, nonprofit status, tax identification numbers, and with programs which help small disadvantaged businesses compete in the marketplace through assistance with 8A certification and registration with the U.S. government System of Award Management (SAM). We promote business ventures that create new opportunities for people and communities.
